Distribution and Habitat
Gingin to Mount Manypeakes town with disjunct populations east of Esperance, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally wet flats. The species is now quite rare in the Perth region due to land clearance but is still relatively common near the south coast.

Description
A late flowering species 250–800 mm high with a smooth tubular leaf 200–250 mm long by 4–5 mm wide and up to eight mauve (rarely pink or blue), purple blotched flowers 30–40 mm across.
