Distribution and Habitat

Jurien Bay to Dirk Hartog Island, growing in sandy soils in coastal woodlands and shrublands, often in soil pockets on coastal limestone outcrops. The subspecies does not require summer fire to flower.

Description

A common subspecies 100–250 mm high with a narrow (compared to most other subspecies), smooth margined leaf 15–50 mm long by 3–7 mm wide and up to three (rarely to 5) white, dull green and red flowers 9–12 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the similar White Bunny Orchid (Eriochilus dilatatus subsp. dilatatus) by its fewer, smaller flowers and smaller leaf.
