Distribution and Habitat
Two disjunct locations in Walpole and Dunsborough, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in seasonally damp coastal flats. The subspecies flowers best in the season following summer fire with flowering plants rare or absent in unburnt bushland.

Description
A colony-forming subspecies 50–100 mm high with a rounded, flattened, ground-hugging leaf 8–20 mm long by 10–15 mm wide and up to three red, pink and white flowers 9–12 mm across.
Distinguishing Features
It is distinguished from the typical subspecies by its more rounded, flattened leaves.
