Description
Microtis species have a smooth tubular leaf, a smooth flowering stem and up to a 100 small, sweetly scented, green, yellow, red or white flowers in an erect spike. Microtis flowers are similar in shape to those of Leek Orchids (Prasophyllum) but are not inverted and are generally smaller and less colourful. The leaf of most Microtis species is also wholly green or yellowish-green rather than green or purple with a reddish base.
