Distribution and Habitat

Dandaragan to Condingup, growing in sandy, sandy-clay and lateritic soils in forests, woodlands and seasonally wet flats. The species rarely flowers in unburnt bushland but is common in the season following a summer fire.

Description

A forest species 100–300 mm high with a smooth tubular leaf 150–250 mm long by 3–6 mm wide and up to 40 greenish-white to greenish-yellow flowers 2–3 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related White Mignonette Orchid (Microtis alba) by its smaller, greenish-white to greenish-yellow flowers and generally less prominently bi-lobed labellum.
