Distribution and Habitat
Jurien Bay to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally wet areas. The species is also found in South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania.

Description
A common species 40–80 mm high with a smooth tubular leaf 40–80 mm long by 2–3 mm wide and up to 40 small yellowish-green flowers 1–2 mm across.
Distinguishing Features
It is distinguished from all other members of the Microtis atrata complex by its short inflorescence just 40-80 mm high.
