Distribution and Habitat

Gingin to south of Dongara, growing in deep sandy soils in shrublands.

Description

A rare species 130–180 mm high with a broad, smooth leaf 20–40 mm long by 5–10 mm wide and one (rarely two) inverted, greenish-yellow and fawn flowers 9–13 mm across. The leaf is usually withered at the time of flowering.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from Brockman’s Duck Orchid (Paracaleana brockmanii) by its larger, paler coloured flowers and northerly distribution.
