Distribution and Habitat

Waroona to east of Roleystone, growing in shallow soil pockets on granite outcrops.

Description

A small, late flowering species 50–70 mm high with a broad, smooth leaf 15–20 mm long by 4–5 mm wide and one (rarely two) inverted, greenish-yellow and red flowers 7–8 mm across. The leaf is usually withered at the time of flowering.

Distinguishing Features

It occupies the same type of habitat as Granite Duck Orchid (Paracaleana granitica) but is distinguished by its narrower leaf, smaller flowers and smaller labellum which is held above the horizontal.
