Distribution and Habitat

East and south-east of Jarrahdale, growing in shallow soil pockets on granite outcrops.

Description

A granite inhabiting species 40–70 mm high with a broad, smooth leaf 10–20 mm long by 4–6 mm wide and one (rarely two) inverted, greenish-yellow and red flowers 8–9 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

The leaf is usually withered at the time of flowering. It occupies the same habitat as Slender-leaved Duck Orchid (Paracaleana gracilicordata) but is distinguished by its broader leaf, larger flowers and larger labellum which is held below the horizontal.
