Mt Gregory to East Yuna, growing in deep sandy soils in shrublands.

Description

A recently recognised species 70–150 mm high with a broad, smooth leaf 20–30 mm long by 6–9 mm wide and one (rarely two) inverted, greenish-yellow and red flowers 8–10 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is closely related to Alcock’s Duck Orchid (Paracaleana alcockii) but has an earlier flowering period and a less prominently humped labellum with calli confined to the apical quarter to third, rather than a third to half.
