Distribution and Habitat

North Kimberley region. Prince Regent River north to Theda Station, Mount Bomford and the King Edward River, growing in seasonally wet areas often associated with sandstone pavements. The species is also found in the Northern Territory. The species is sometimes associated with spinifex with the flower spikes produced inside the spinifex clump.

Description

A distinctive species 100–500 mm high with two to three smooth linear to broadly oval leaves 150–250 mm long by 8–15 mm wide and up to 15 dark red-brown to greenish-yellow flowers 8–10 mm across.
