Distribution and Habitat
Margaret River to Hopetoun, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in shrublands and in shallow soil pockets on granite outcrops, flowering best in the season following summer fire.

Description
A distinctive species 50–200 mm high with a smooth tubular leaf 100–150 mm long by 3–6 mm wide and up to 25 sweetly fragrant, purplish-red and white flowers 6–7 mm across.
Distinguishing Features
It is distinguished from the related Humped Leek Orchid (Prasophyllum gibbosum) by its generally shorter inflorescence, earlier flowering period and different habitat preference.
