Distribution and Habitat
Kalbarri to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy, sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally moist shrublands. The species does not require a summer fire to flower.

Description
A common species 150–450 mm high with a smooth tubular leaf 60–150 mm long by 2–3 mm wide and up to 30 pale yellow and brown, semi-closed flowers 5–7 mm across.
Distinguishing Features
It is distinguished from the related Little Leek Orchid (Prasophyllum ovale) by its pale yellow and brown flowers which have a closed appearance and its prominently humped base to the labellum.
