Distribution and Habitat

Kalbarri to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy, sandy-clay and lateritic soils in forests, woodlands, shrublands and seasonally wet flats, flowering best in the season following summer fire.

Description

An attractive species 300–1000 mm high with a smooth tubular leaf 400–800 mm long by 5–10 mm wide and up to 70 brownish-green, pink and white flowers 9–10 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the distantly related Frilled Leek Orchid (Prasophyllum sargentii) by its taller flower scapes, larger labellum and south-westerly distribution.
