Distribution and Habitat

Dongara to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally wet flats and drainage lines. The species does not require a summer fire to flower.

Description

A swamp loving species 150–300 mm (rarely to 450 mm) high with a smooth tubular leaf 100–150 mm long by 2–3 mm wide and up to 25 yellowish-green and purple flowers 4–5 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the closely related Pauline's Laughing Leek Orchid (Prasophyllum paulinae) by its longer lateral sepals, narrower labellum and, where they grow together, usually later flowering period
