Distribution and Habitat
Kalbarri to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in woodlands and shrublands, flowering best in the season following summer fire.

Description
A predominantly inland species 300–1000 mm high with a smooth tubular leaf 250–500 mm long by 6–12 mm wide and up to 30 yellowish-green to purplish-black flowers 11–12 mm across.
Distinguishing Features
It is distinguished from the related Tall Leek Orchid (Prasophyllum elatum) by its generally darker colouration and semi-closed flowers.
