Distribution and Habitat

Windy Harbour to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in seasonally wet flats, flowering best in the season following summer fire.

Description

A common south coastal species 50–250 mm high with a smooth tubular leaf 120–140 mm long by 3–6 mm wide and up to 40 sweetly fragrant, white and dull red flowers 6–8 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Humped Leek Orchid (Prasophyllum gibbosum) by its narrower, smooth margined labellum.
