Distribution and Habitat

Bunbury to Bremer Bay, growing in sandy soil in coastal woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A short statured species 30–100 mm high with four to seven leaves forming a ground-hugging or ascending basal rosette 15–30 mm across, three to four cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, green and white flowers 4–6 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the similar Short-eared Snail Orchid (Pterostylis brevisepala) and Thick-sepaled Snail Orchid (P. ectypha) by its shorter, usually reflexed lateral sepals.
