Distribution and Habitat

Stirliing Range to Brookton with disjunct populations between Capel and Eaton, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in forests and woodlands.

Description

A distinctive species 80–200 mm (rarely to 300 mm) high with three to seven cauline leaves 20–30 mm long by 3–5 mm wide and one (rarely two) translucent, dull green (more rarely brown) and white flowers 7–9 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from other members of the Pterostylis aspera complex by its narrowly hooded flowers and longer, prominently curled labellum.
