Distribution and Habitat

York to Esperance, growing in sandy soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A large flowered species 90–170 mm high with four to six leaves forming a ground-hugging or ascending basal rosette 20–55 mm across, two to three cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, fawn and white flowers 7–12 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the sometimes co-occurring Hairy Stemmed Snail Orchid (Pterostylis setulosa) by its larger fawn and white flowers and thickened lateral sepals.
