Armadale to Mundaring, growing in lateritic soils in forests.

Description

A geographically restricted species 200–400 mm high with eight to 18 cauline leaves 35–60 mm long by 5–8 mm wide and up to 15 semi translucent, dark reddish-brown and white flowers 12–16 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is similar in colour and form to Crowded Banded Greenhood (Pterostylis atrosanguinea), appearing to differ only in its flowers being crowded at the top of the scape.
