Description

A little known species 40–100 mm high with four to seven leaves forming a ground-hugging basal rosette 6–16 mm across, one to two cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, green and white flowers 5–6 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Hairy-stemmed Snail Orchid (Pterostylis setulosa) by its shorter stature, fewer cauline leaves and hairy margined rosette leaves. These features are, however, also found in some plants in populations of P. setulosa and the two taxa may represent forms of the same species.
