Distribution and Habitat

Eurardy Station to Peak Charles, growing in sandy, sandy-clay and lateritic soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

An inland species 50–150 mm high with a loose, ascending rosette of leaves 12–35 mm across, two to four cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, brown-marked, green and white flowers 10–13 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Bird Orchid (Pterostylis barbata) by its smaller flowers, shorter dorsal sepal and inland distribution.
