Distribution and Habitat

Badgingarra to Rocky Gully, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in seasonally wet flats and creek lines.

Description

A swamp loving species 60–180 mm high with five to nine basal leaves that form a ground hugging or ascending basal rosette 20–50 mm across, five to nine cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, green and white flowers 3–4 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the closely related Lort River Snail Orchid (Pterostylis lortensis) by its westerly and north-westerly distribution. Otherwise they are very similar and may be forms of the same species.
