Millers Point to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A robust species 100–200 mm high with four to seven leaves forming a ground-hugging basal rosette 16–40 mm across, two to three cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, green and white flowers 7–9 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Helena River Snail Orchid (Pterostylis angulata) by its fewer, larger cauline leaves, shortly hairy flower scape, more narrowly flared lateral sepals and south-easterly distribution.
