Distribution and Habitat

Gull Rock to West Cape Howe, growing in sandy soils in woodlands and shrublands. Due to its rarity the species is listed as Priority Flora in Western Australia.

Description

A south coastal species 250–400 mm high with a loose, ascending rosette of leaves 12–35 mm across, two to six cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, brown-marked, green and white flowers 8–12 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is similar in morphology to Muirs Highway Bird Orchid (Pterostylis longicornis) and may be a variant of that species.
