Distribution and Habitat

Augusta to Porongorup, growing in sandy, sandy-clay and lateritic soils in forests and woodlands.

Description

A tall species 150–300 mm high with six to 10 leaves forming a ground-hugging or ascending basal rosette 16–60 mm across, five to seven cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, green and white flowers 5.5–6.5 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the similar and often co-occurring Slender Snail orchid (Pterostylis crispula) by its taller flower scapes, larger flowers and longer more prominently pointed dorsal sepal.
