Distribution and Habitat

Diamals Station to Nyabing, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in woodlands and shrublands, and in shallow soil pockets on inland granite outcrops.

Description

A rare, long-sepaled species 100–350 mm high with six to 10 leaves forming a ground-hugging basal rosette 40–80 mm across and up to eight translucent, green and white or brown and white flowers 10–13 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Spoon-lipped Rufous Greenhood (Pterostylis spathulata) by its flatter, square topped lateral sepals which have much longer points.
