Distribution and Habitat

Kojonup to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A distinctive, small flowered species 70–150 mm high with five to nine leaves forming a ground-hugging basal rosette 25–30 mm across and up to five translucent, reddish-brown and white flowers 4–6 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from all other members of the Pterostylis rufa complex in Western Australia by its short stature, small flowers and short, blunted ended sepals.
