Distribution and Habitat

Moora to Ravensthorpe, growing in sandy-clay and clay soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A widespread species 200–350 mm high with six to 10 leaves forming a ground-hugging basal rosette 40–55 mm across and up to seven translucent, green and white to greenish-brown and white flowers 9–11 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from Ravensthorpe Rufous Greenhood (Pterostylis leptochila) by its smaller, narrower lateral sepals which have a less cupped appearance and larger, fleshy labellum.
