Distribution and Habitat

North of Port Gregory to Brookton, growing in sand, sandy-clay and clay soils in woodlands and shrublands, often on the edges of seasonally wet flats and streams.

Description

A distinctive species 45–100 mm high with two to five leaves forming a ground-hugging or ascending basal rosette 8–20 mm across, two to four cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, green and white flowers 3–4 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the sometimes co-occurring Hairy-stemmed Snail Orchid (Pterostylis setulosa) by its distinctly broader petals.
