Distribution and Habitat

Murchinson River to Israelite Bay, growing in sandy, sandy-clay and granitic soils in woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A widespread species 50–250 mm high with three to 10 cauline leaves 8–40 mm long by 2–5 mm wide and up to six translucent, olive-green and white or dark brown and white flowers 4–7 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the closely related Little Frog Greenhood (Pterostylis occulta) by the fleshy, glabrous (vs narrow, hairy) horn-like structures on the labellum.
