Shannon to Walpole, growing in shallow soil pockets on granite outcrops.

Description

A granite outcrop species 90–150 mm high with a loose, ascending rosette of leaves 10–20 mm across, two to four cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, light green and white flowers 8–10 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from Bearded Bird Orchid (Pterostylis turfosa) by its usually shorter stature, smaller, narrower flowers, narrowly separated lateral sepals and granite outcrop habitat.
