Distribution and Habitat

Wellington Dam to Albany, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in forests and woodlands.

Description

A late flowering species 150–250 mm high with a loose, ascending rosette of leaves 12–35 mm across, two to six cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, light green and white flowers 9–11 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is related to Bearded Bird Orchid (P. turfosa) and Granite Bird Orchid (P. saxosa) but has a more bloated appearance, thicker sepals and a generally later flowering period.
