Karonie, growing in soil pockets on granite outcrops and in deeper soil in surrounding shrublands.

Description

A rare eastern species 200–350 mm high with eight to 10 leaves forming a ground-hugging basal rosette 35–70 mm across and up to eight large, translucent, fawn and white flowers 12–16 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the co-occurring Rock-loving Rufous Greenhood (Pterostylis xerampelina) by its larger fawn coloured flowers and longer less prominently falcate lateral sepals.
