Distribution and Habitat

Yanchep to Bunbury, growing in deep sandy soils in coastal woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A common coastal species 100–250 mm high with four to six leaves forming a ground-hugging or ascending basal rosette 20–30 mm across, two to four cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, green and white flowers 7–10 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It was previously placed with Helena River Snail Orchid (Pterostylis angulata) but has a coastal rather than inland distribution and grows in well drained sandy soils rather than seasonally wet clay soils.
