Distribution and Habitat

Mogumber to Kalbarri, growing in sandy and lateritic soils in woodlands and shrublands, often on the tops and slopes of rocky hills.

Description

A northern species 100–250 mm high with seven to 10 cauline leaves 30–40 mm long by 4–6 mm wide and up to seven semi translucent, green and white or fawn and white flowers 7–9 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Banded Greenhood (Pterostylis vittata) by its shorter stature, fewer, more variably coloured flowers and northerly range of distribution.
