Distribution and Habitat

Albany to Israelite Bay, growing in shallow soil pockets on granite outcrops.

Description

A moisture loving species 25–90 mm high with four to six leaves forming a ground-hugging or ascending basal rosette 10–24 mm across, one to two cauline leaves and one (rarely two) translucent, green and white flowers 4–6 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the similar and sometimes co-occurring Southern Thick-sepaled Snail orchid (Pterostylis meridionalis) by its less prominently flared petals and shorter lateral sepals.
