Distribution and Habitat

Single known location in the north Kimberley, growing in black peaty soil in a permanently wet mound spring. The species is also found in South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland, New Guinea, New Caledonia, China, Laos, Vietnam, Japan, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Description

A rare species in Western Australia (common elsewhere) 100–400 mm high with two to four narrow, smooth leaves 40–125 mm long by 5–7 mm wide in a loose basal rosette and up to 40 spirally arranged pink and white flowers 1.5–2.8 mm across.
