Distribution and Habitat

Armadale to Westdale with disjunct populations at Pemberton and east of Esperance, growing in seasonally wet areas amongst scattered low shrubs and sedges. The species is now rare near Perth where it is confined to a few remnant seasonally wet swamps.

Description

An attractive species 200–350 mm high with a narrow, smooth leaf 100–200 mm long by 5–10 mm wide and up to six pale to deep blue, self-pollinating flowers 15–25 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from other members of the Thelymitra macrophylla complex by its yellow, more densely-tufted lateral lobes.
