Plant Families of Brazilian Savanna (Famílias de Plantas do Cerrado)

The Cerrado biome, the Brazilian savanna, is considered the richest savanna of the planet and has about 12.000 species of vascular plants, distributed in 1.500 genera, 170 families and 11 subfamilies. This key represents all the plant families and subfamilies (181) of angiosperms of the Cerrado and it aims to enable students, amateurs and professionals alike to identify the plant families of this beautiful savanna. Key characters for identification of each family are illustrated by photographs and each family is further illustrated by photographs of representative members of that family.
