Diagnostic summary

  • What you see on plants

- pale overall colour of crop.

 

- interveinal yellowing on older leaves, developing to light brown necrosis and drooping.

 

- older leaves may develop purple or reddish colour on upper surface, or on veins underneath.

 

- thin vines with lengthened internodes.

  • Most common in sandy soils, or when calcium or potassium levels are high.
