Notes

Annual forb.  Leaves alternating up the stems, 1-3.5cm long, 5-20mm wide, flat, more or less hairy.  Male and female (and bisexual) flowers on the same plant.  Flowers small (less than 3mm across), green, with 4 'petals', in paired clusters (occasionally single clusters) of 3 flowers, at the bases of the leaves.

Differs from Parietaria cardiostegia in that the leaf-like bracts below the flower groups are lance-shaped to broad-elliptic.
