There are two known aquatic Myriapoda. Both are diplopods (millipedes): a species of Pyrgodesmidae is known from Macquarie University and other Sydney sites, and an undescribed Siphonotidae is recorded from Victoria.

Both of these aquatic millipedes walk around on the bottom of streams. Neither have any obvious adaptations for aquatic life. There may be other aquatic species in these or other families.

There are no records of aquatic species amongst the centipedes, etc.
