The Momoniidae is a family of mites in the superfamily Arrenuroidea. There are four genera with representatives in Australia: Austromomonia (1 sp., NSW and new records from Tas (HCP)); Hesperomomonia (1 sp., WA); Momoniella (2 spp., Qld, NSW, Tas, WA, NT); Partidomomonia (2 spp., Vic).

Momoniids are easily recognised by their highly modified legs I, whose tips appear to be raptorial. They occur in interstitial stream habitats (Austromomonia, Partidomomonia) as well as surficial substrates in streams and standing water (Momoniella, Hesperomomonia).
