Zygoptera (damselflies)Code QO039999 Stream-dwelling damselflies, not uncommon in north and east Australia. The adults typically are dull coloured and slender, and are found in shady places at the edges of streams. The larvae have saccoid or laminate gills with a conspicuous node at the midpoint. The labial mask is like that of Coenagrionidae. There are 15 named Australian species or subspecies, in 7 genera. |
