Small caddis, with larvae about 5mm long, constructing a tubular, slightly curved case constructed of sand grains.

The larval head is nearly circular, with the antennae located mid way between eyes and anterior margin. The pronotal sclerite is circular with the anterior angles distinctly extended, and meso- and metanotal sclerites indistinct. Without abdominal gills or lateral fringe and anal prolegs with one accessory hook.

A monotypic family, with the single species Antipodoecia turneri known from the eastern Australian mainland, from southern Queensland to Victoria, but not from Tasmania.
