Metaventrite Process Shape
The metaventrite process is an anterior extension of the metaventrite, a plate between the mid and hind legs. The process is located between the midcoxae.

There are three states
-
triangular with sharp (acute) tip, lateral margins straight or slightly convex. In this type the apex is rarely extended relative to the base (Figure 2A)
-
elongate triangular with blunt (rounded) tip, lateral margins straight or slightly concave. In this type the apex is usually extended relative to the triangular base - (Figure 2B)
-
ovate, sides and apex strongly rounded (Figure 2C)
