Distribution
Gibraltar Range, northern New South Wales, in montane closed forest.
Description
Total length 11-12mm.
Head: Clypeal margin with two distinct teeth. Clypeal surface not depressed, smooth and impunctate in middle. Frons strongly punctate. Frontoclypeal suture with a single short, acute conical horn.
Pronotum: Strongly convex, densely covered with medium-sized punctures. Shallow depression in the middle of the anterior slope.
Pterothorax: Mesosternum covered with punctures, except for median area, which is smooth.
Elytra: Striae with small, closely set punctures. Length of elytra more than twice the length of the pronotum.
Hind wings: Fully developed.
Legs: Distal edges of middle and hind tibiae strongly scalloped.
Abdomen: Last sternite with punctures set in a pair of shallow transverse depressions.
Sexual dimorphism
Female: Clypeal surface entirely wrinkled. Frontoclypeal suture with a small transverse ridge. Last abdominal sternite with punctures interrupted medially.
