Locating the foretibia

The fore tibia is the middle segment of the fore leg (Fig. 1).

The fore tibia is armed with one to three teeth on its external edge (Fig. 2).

Most species of Cetoniinae have three teeth as illustrated (Fig. 2), but the basal and/or the medial tooth may be absent. The apical tooth is always present.
